Devan’s Dozen: Streetcar Edition
The first friday of May is always a special time in the Crossroads Arts District but May 6, 2016 was notably unique. That was the day that the RideKC Streetcar made its debut along the Main Street Corridor. In the five years since its first run, the Streetcar has donned a number of looks. In this edition of Devan’s Dozen, I rank the 12 best wraps of RideKC’s first five years.

For the past century, in Kansas City, The Border War has meant KU Jayhawks versus Mizzou Tigers. It has been an exercise in pageantry and athletic competition with bragging rights at stake. The actual Border Wars were just that, war. These skirmishes to keep slavery from expanding further west was so brutal that this period of time has become known as, “Bleeding Kansas”.
