In the battle for equality on the basis of race and sex, so many champions for these causes came right here from Kansas City. In this conclusion to the Herstory essay series, I tell the stories of some amazing women who fought to realize the promise that “ALL men AND WOMEN are created equal”.

More than dispersing film reels to this nation’s theaters, Kansas City was also exporting some of the biggest movie stars in the nation.
